School Age Camp Program

The School Age Camper (Age 7-12) Program is full. We are no longer able to accept new individuals for this program.

The school-age program is for children with WS, ages 7 - 12 and their siblings age 6 - 12.  This program will take place on-site at the Sheraton on Tuesday afternoon and Saturday morning.  On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the children will travel to Hanson, MA to Camp Ponkiwanee where a special day camp program will be provided by Campfire USA staff, and WSA volunteers.  WSA Camp Recreation Staff helped to create the camp program and will be on-hand at the camp each day to provide oversight and guidance where needed.

While on-site at the Sheraton, children will participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities including arts & crafts, games, & music.  A typical day at camp will include swimming, arts & crafts, music (provided by WSA music camp instructors) camp fires, smores, environmental education, fishing, team building activities and more.

Campers will spend 6 hours on-site each day.  During the 45 minute bus ride to the camp, campers will learn special "camp" songs that will be performed by the group at the Anniversary Celebration on Friday night.
