JULY 25th, STEFAN WILL HELP PROMOTE WILLIAMS SYNDROME AWARENESS WHILE ATTEMPTING TO BREAK A WORLD RECORD!
I decided to attempt the world record for pull-ups in 24 hours for a few reasons. First, I love fitness and working out. I excel in body weight/gymnastic style movements and I figured this would be a great goal and achievement for me!! I really want to take this challenge and make it a fundraiser! A member at my gym has a brother who has Williams syndrome. His name is Tobi and he is one the nicest kids I have ever met! He is always very friendly and is always there to give his encouragement during a tough workout!! I couldn't think of a better fundraising opportunity for the Williams Syndrome Association! The community at CrossFit Peekskill is amazing and we are all here to support Tobi, and all individuals with Williams syndrome. We will come together to achieve the world record and fundraise as much money as we can for the WSA!!
Founded in 1982, the Williams Syndrome Association (WSA) is the most comprehensive resource for people and families living with Williams syndrome (WS). The WSA helps families navigate the challenges from diagnosis through adulthood by providing:
Information on the latest medical and education research
A strong and supportive community to connect with other WS families
Educational opportunities, such as webinars and national conferences
Direct programming and support for individuals and families
