Our convention camp program for children 6-12 years old will be housed at the Kroc Corps Community Center in Phoenix, which is an indoor facility. We will utilize their aquatics program and there will also be art and music for the campers. Though a full-day schedule is not yet available, the experience will be enriching and fun! We will have our own volunteer counselors and educators managing our day program as usual.
Our infant and toddler friends will be in programs at the site hotel in different rooms indoors. They will have play-time, visiting music therapists and musicians, a science activity, arts and crafts, visits from a therapy dog, favorite characters in costume and more!
Our teens and adults:
Teens and adults will both visit the amazing Musical Instrument Museum for an interactive experience, including a drum circle!
Adults will have a blast participating in a live "game show" experience in one of the hotel ballrooms.
And teens and adults will both laugh out loud while the National Comedy Theater will visit our groups for improv and sketch comedy. They'll be doing a version of the popular "Whose Line is it Anyway?"
We will offer something enriching and memorable for all age groups--and keep them cool!
**All busses will be air-conditioned and outside time will be minimal. Full schedules will be available as convention gets closer. Registration will be open sometime in February--we hope to see many children and adults with WS and their siblings in Phoenix!
