Camp Blue Skies offers recreation and fun for adults with Williams syndrome
Searching for social and recreational activities for an adult with Williams syndrome? Or, as a family member or friend, are you hoping to volunteer more with the WS community? Camp Blue Skies may have the perfect opportunities for both in March.
Many of us can attest to the fact that WSA conventions have an effect on cities and their people in addition to our attendees. WSA staff hears hotel workers marvel at the friendliness and energy happening in the lobby (and say things such as “it’s going to be boring next week when we only have sports tournament guests"). We hear that the captain of the pirate ship for one of our adult outings in the harbor in Baltimore was really touched by the joy he witnessed.
It’s hard to believe that it has been 31 years since we attended our first convention in Cincinnati. It was July of 1986. Ben was just six months old – and I was sleep deprived – but I still have so many vivid memories of that weekend...
