Regional Chairs

Gina Myers of San Clemente, California

I live in San Clemente, California with my husband Chad, my daughters Alison, Samantha, Rachel (WS), and my son John.  We enjoy living near the ocean, and walking the nearby trails--it is definitely an important element of my mental health.  I began volunteering within the Williams syndrome community in 2011 with the creation of the Facebook support group WS Support, which I still administer with the help of three other volunteers.  I became the Regional Chair for Canyon Region in 2013.  I love connecting with other WS families, and helping those families also make connections within their community.   My goal is to provide a close knit community wherein our SoCal families can find the answers, resources, and support they need.  I am happy to help in any way I can.

Brittney Basim of Buckeye, Arizona

Hello!  I live in Buckeye, located in the west valley of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area of Arizona.  My husband Shane and I have two children: Anya, who is five and has Williams syndrome, and baby Wyatt, born in 2017.  I have volunteered for the WSA since 2015 and I am so excited to be the Regional Chair for Arizona.  I love meeting new families who have been through both the struggles and victories that come with Williams syndrome, and I especially love helping others in any way that I can.  My goal as an RC is to help people become more aware of Williams syndrome and to get WS families excited about spreading awareness and becoming more involved with the WSA.  Outside of the WSA, I work for Marriott International, and in my free time I love to go hiking, take pictures, and explore new areas of Arizona.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for anything, and I look forward to being your RC for Arizona.
