Welcome to the Williams Syndrome Association, New England Region.
Nanci Walsh of Walpole, Massachusetts
Hello. I live in Walpole, Massachusetts with my husband Matt and two sons: teen Andrew and younger son Coleman, who has WS. I love living in New England where I can ski in the winter and head to the ocean in the summer, my two favorite activities with family. I am a preschool teacher in my town and enjoy watching my sons play sports on the weekends. I will always remember the first WSA event I went to when my son was newly diagnosed as an infant. Meeting the other parents and hearing them share their experiences was so comforting at such a difficult time and I knew I wanted to become actively involved in the WSA. Since then I have been involved with many fundraising activities on behalf of the WSA and I have most enjoyed coordinating walks in our area to increase awareness but also as a day for families to connect with each other. I am looking forward to this new role with the WSA by providing support and encouragement to current and new families.
Note: If you would like the Regional Chair to contact you via phone, please send them an email request that contains your contact information and a brief description of the topic you wish to discuss. Or, if you prefer, contact the National WSA Office and they will have the appropriate Regional Chair contact you.
