About Nick!
Nick brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this program. His journey of service began during his time at Greater Atlanta Christian School, where he spent six years participating in mission trips during summer vacations and spring breaks. These experiences taught him the importance of being of service in diverse situations and communities, shaping his commitment to supporting others.
Nick continued his education at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2014. While at Lipscomb, he co-created clubs focused on community engagement through yoga, mindfulness, and sustainability. He also played a key role in organizing Earth Day events in collaboration with Sodexo, fostering awareness and action around environmental stewardship. These formative years helped him develop a holistic approach to wellness that integrates physical, mental, and environmental well-being.
Since graduating, Nick has pursued advanced training in mindfulness and wellness practices. He holds a 200-hour yoga certification from Neda Honarvar and Darren Rhodes and completed CBCT training at Emory University under Dr. Lobsang Tenzin Negi, Ph.D. He has shared his teachings at Camp Blue Skies since 2019 and earned certifications as a DSP-1 from the University of Georgia and in Person-Centered Thinking (PCT). His collaboration at the WSA convention with Lobsterbird Yi further reflects his dedication to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities.
Nick’s programming reflects his belief in the transformative power of mindfulness and movement to foster connection, confidence, and well-being. Whether through live sessions or curated content, these offerings aim to inspire individuals with WS to embrace their unique strengths while exploring tools for personal growth.
